Review: No Miss Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner and Mineral Eye Shadow

It's time to review a couple of products that I absolutely love, since my last couple of product posts focused on the negative. Now for the positive!

I was extremely lucky to win the No-Miss giveaway that my friend Robin over at Toxic Beauty held last month. I received the Liquid Eyeliner in Brown Oxide, the All Natural Eye Shadow in Tallahassee Tan, the Mascara in Black, and the Lip Gloss in Lyons Lexi. This review is only for the Liquid Eyeliner and the Eye Shadow, as I haven't opened the other products yet! :)

no-miss cosmetics

No-Miss is an all natural cosmetics brand out of Boca Raton, Florida. They use only natural ingredients, no dyes or harsh chemicals, and are completely cruelty-free.

I have to say that this eye shadow is the best I have ever used, and I'm not exaggerating. I've never used a mineral eye shadow before, and it was amazed at how smoothly I was able to apply it and how long it lasted. The color, Tallahassee Tan, is absolutely gorgeous.  It's a very shimmery tan color, and it is lovely for day or night. I wear it by itself without other colors and I have gotten compliments.

So shiny, I couldn't get a good picture of it!

The liquid eye liner took some getting used to, since I was a strict pencil-user up until this point, but I am sold now! I'm so glad I got the brown because the black would have been too harsh. The liner dries very quickly and lasts all day. The only (very small!) complaint I have is that sometimes I have to twist the cap all the way closed and then open again to get the right amount on the brush. If I just stick it in the bottle to get more, it comes out with too much on it!

Eye open and closed.

Hopefully you can see how pretty and shimmery this is! I didn't do too bad with the eyeliner this time, either!

If you are looking for a natural cosmetics brand, I highly recommend trying an eye shadow or other product from No-Miss. You won't be disappointed!

Have you tried and do you like mineral eye shadow? I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Thanks for reading!
J

  2. This makes me wonder if that mascara is actually something that I could wear. I stopped wearing mascara several years ago, because every brand made my eyes burn. I was wasting too much money trying to find one that didn't effect me this way. When I was seventeen I burnt my lases and eye brows off in a flash fire and when they came back in they were half the length of before, and the brows came back in half as many. I am an artist and I can fake brow hairs like no bodies business, but lases are another story.
Your post makes me think that I just might try one more time to find a mascara that doesn't burn. I would rather have short lashes than red eye and tears.
Come on over and check out my hat-stands. I made them from recycled candle holders and small table lamps.
Have a great day, Connie :)

    1. Hi Connie! Thanks for the comment. I wonder if perhaps you are allergic to one of the chemicals they put in regular mascaras. I haven't tried the No-Miss one yet, but the ingredients are natural so it might work for you. I'll make another post once I do try out the mascara. I just haven't opened it yet because I wanted to use up my old one first and mascaras dry out too fast here in the desert to have more than one opened at a time! :)

I will check out your post soon! This week I went back to work so I haven't been able to do as much blog reading as I'd like to!

  3. I love No Miss's eye makeup remover. It actually works and isn't greasy or toxic. I'm going to have to try out the eye liner for sure now and that eye shadow too. I wish they sold them in my Whole Foods! Thanks!!

  4. Oooh the shadow with the brown liner looks so GOOD! It's a great everyday look and night look too! I think I am going to have to order the brown liner! I agree with you about the eye shadow though- definitely the best mineral eye shadow I've ever used. So glad you won and got to write this review! :)

@Tiffany- do you have a Nutrition S'mart where you live? Mine carries No Miss!

    1. Thanks Robin! I'm so happy I got this opportunity as well! I will make another small post when I open and try the mascara and lip gloss.

I'm sorry the close up pictures are so blurry. I had my husband try taking them in different lighting but I guess our camera just isn't that good!

    1. Hi Clare, thanks for your comment! It's less of a gold and more of a tawny, but I do agree it would be flattering on anyone! :)

  6. I love that bronze looking color. Shimmer is always my eye shadow of choice too. I did a review of Nano eyeliner from Sephora. It's not a shimmer but it looks really nice.
